My Life so far

Hey Guys! My name is Hallelujah, but everyone calls me Halley. I am the second of six kids, was homeschooled, was a pastor’s kid as well as a military brat. Growing up, we moved every few years to pastor different churches until the Lord called my dad to join the Navy as a chaplain, and now we move every three years. Currently, I am getting my associate’s degree before heading off to obtain my bachelor’s degree.

I want to share things here that have impacted my life and my worldview. There are so many things the world wants us to believe and it can be hard to realize the lies. I hope to encourage others to be the best they can be for the Lord.

My family has always focused on who we are as people, rather than what we can do or have done. Failing is always ok, we learn from mistakes and don’t repeat them. We respect others because of who we are, not because of what others do or don’t do. My mom wanted us to love learning and not just learn to take the tests. Knowing who you are is so important for all parts of life. Ask questions at every turn and research the answers. I know who I am, how I fail, and how I can succeed. I know the Lord and the Bible, and I want to do God’s will for my life.

I am choosing to write because I love to and want to share my little part of the world with others! We were driving home the other night (everyone knows the important conversations happen when driving late at night:) and my mom was talking about how she misses being around like-minded people. Because of the military, we don’t get to pick where we live anymore and some of the places are a lot harder to build life around. That conversation got me thinking about why we live and think the way we do and I decided to share. Who am I sharing my story with? You are most likely someone who is different or wants to be, probably part of a homeschooled family and have read a lot. And now that you have finished this post you’ll want to read my other ones! If you haven’t already, check out my intro post!

Thanks for reading this far!
